Highly Concentrated Truffle Flavoring for Snack Seasoning & Dry Rub
The truffle snack market is expanding rapidly across premium chips, popcorn, fries, and roasted nuts. Essence of Truffle is a concentrated, oil-soluble extract designed for CPG brands and co-packers who need authentic truffle flavor — consistently, at scale, with a clean label.

Why Co-Packers & Snack Manufacturers Choose Essence of Truffle
Recommended usage rate is just 1–3 mL per liter of carrier oil or finished product. A little goes a long way — dramatically reducing cost per unit versus whole truffle inputs.
Contains no known allergens. No allergen statement required. Easy for procurement and regulatory teams to approve.
Does not contain truffle solids or any animal-derived ingredients. Fully compatible with vegan and plant-based snack positioning.
Available in bulk industrial sizes — 5 to 55 gallons — for uninterrupted production. One SKU across your entire line.
Food-grade, manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices. Spec sheet and COA available for your quality assurance team.
Because the extract is oil-soluble, it plates cleanly onto dry carriers (salt, maltodextrin, nutritional yeast) and incorporates evenly into oil-slurry sprays for extruded snacks and chips.

Plating Essence of Truffle for Dry Seasoning Blends
Objective: To evenly distribute Essence of Truffle liquid extract into a dry seasoning blend — such as a truffle salt or dry rub — for application on chips, popcorn, or nuts.
- Calculate Usage: Determine your batch size. The recommended usage rate is 1–3 mL per liter of carrier oil or finished product. Adjust based on desired flavor intensity.
- Dilute (Optional but Recommended for Dry Plating): To ensure even distribution, mix the measured extract into a high-stability carrier oil such as sunflower or high-oleic safflower oil.
- Load the Dry Carrier: Load your base dry carrier (fine sea salt, maltodextrin, or nutritional yeast blend) into a ribbon blender or paddle mixer.
- Atomize the Flavor: While the mixer is running, use an atomizing spray nozzle to introduce the Essence of Truffle oil mixture over the moving dry powder. This “plating” process turns the oil-soluble liquid into a free-flowing flavored powder.
- Blend to Uniformity: Continue mixing until the liquid is fully absorbed and the powder shows no signs of clumping. The result should have a strong, earthy, savory truffle aroma.
- Incorporate Secondary Ingredients: Once the flavor is uniformly plated, add the remaining dry ingredients — spices, herbs, dehydrated garlic, etc. — into the blender.
- Package or Apply: The dry rub is now ready to be tumbled onto warm, freshly fried chips, dusted onto popcorn, or sealed in bulk packaging.
- Storage: Store raw extract in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed when not in use.

Because Essence of Truffle is oil-soluble, it plates cleanly onto dry carriers and incorporates evenly into oil-slurry sprays — the same application methods your seasoning line already uses.
Calculate Usage Rate
Determine your batch size and target intensity. The recommended rate is 1–3 mL per liter of carrier oil or finished product. Start at 2 mL/L for a balanced truffle profile — adjust down for background notes or up for a truffle-forward SKU. Validate on a pilot batch and lock the spec before full production.

Dilute Into Carrier Oil
Mix the measured extract into a high-stability carrier oil — sunflower or high-oleic safflower oil are recommended for their neutral flavor and shelf stability. This pre-dilution step is optional but strongly recommended for dry plating, as it ensures even flavor distribution across the dry carrier.

Load Dry Carrier Into Mixer
Load your base dry carrier into a ribbon blender or paddle mixer. Standard dry carrier options include fine sea salt, maltodextrin, or a nutritional yeast blend — whichever suits your target snack substrate and label positioning.

Atomize Over Moving Powder
With the mixer running, use an atomizing spray nozzle to introduce the truffle oil mixture over the moving dry powder. This plating process converts the oil-soluble liquid into a free-flowing, uniformly flavored powder. Continue mixing until fully absorbed with no clumping — the result should have a strong, earthy, savory truffle aroma.

Incorporate Secondary Dry Ingredients
Once the truffle flavor is uniformly plated onto the carrier, add the remaining dry ingredients — spices, herbs, dehydrated garlic, onion powder, and any other rub components — into the blender. Mix to a homogeneous blend before moving to application or packaging.

Apply, Package & Store
The finished dry rub is ready to tumble onto warm, freshly fried chips, dust onto popcorn, or seal in bulk packaging for your co-packer. For remaining raw extract: store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, container tightly closed.

Truffle Flavor That Scales With Your Line
- No Seasonal Variability: Concentrated extract eliminates the sourcing risk and price swings of whole truffle inputs.
- One Spec, Every Format: The same extract works for chips, popcorn, nuts, and fries — one SOP, one COA, one dose rate.
- Clean Label, Vegan Friendly: No allergens, no animal-derived ingredients — straightforward for regulatory and marketing teams.
- Built for Plating: Oil-soluble formulation is engineered for atomization onto dry carriers — the exact application method your line already uses.
- Industrial Bulk Available: 5–55 gallon formats reduce changeovers and keep your line running without interruption.

Consistent Truffle Flavor for Every Snack SKU
Essence of Truffle is a highly concentrated, oil-soluble truffle flavoring extract crafted using natural and nature-identical flavor components. At just 1–3 mL per liter of carrier oil or finished product, it delivers the rich, earthy, aromatic character of truffles to chips, popcorn, fries, and roasted nuts — without the variability, cost, or sourcing complexity of whole truffle inputs.
Because it’s oil-soluble, the extract integrates seamlessly into the plating and oil-slurry spray application methods already standard in snack production. Food-grade, manufactured under GMP, contains no known allergens, and is fully vegan — with bulk industrial formats available from 5 to 55 gallons for uninterrupted production.
Start with 5 mL samples to validate your formulation, then scale with bulk sizes. One spec sheet. One COA. One dose rate. That’s the entire procurement conversation — and the entire QA protocol for your line.
